Standing in the shadow of the Mehrangarh Fort, RAAS is at once steeped in history and contemporary luxury. The hotel comprises four historical buildings dating from the late 18th to the mid-19th century, and three modern buildings which house the guest rooms. All are built using the local red sandstone, blending in with their surroundings.
Situated in the heart of the walled city, the hotel encourages you to arrive on foot or by its own rickshaw to minimise impact on the local neighbourhood, allowing you to navigate the maze of streets before entering the calming atmosphere of the property. Interiors have been handmade by local craftsmen for a truly authentic feel, and each room has its own terrace with wonderful views of the fort, gardens or restored buildings.
RAAS is the only boutique hotel to be based in the old city, and the views directly up to the fort, which stands proudly above you, are quite spectacular. It offers a fantastic mixture of traditional character and contemporary luxury.

Accommodation is in tasteful modern buildings and comprises both rooms and suites, with the latter offering separate sitting rooms and larger balconies and bathrooms. All rooms boast excellent views of the fort from private terraces, with the exception of four rooms which have their own private gardens overlooking the property’s restored buildings. Traditional latticework screens are a feature of each room and are opened each morning to reveal the views. Decorated in a contemporary style, the rooms all feature air conditioning and central heating, overhead fans, hair dryers, electronic safes, TVs and telephones, with en suite bathrooms coming complete with cast iron bathtubs and separate showers.
Location
RAAS lies at the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort, in the prestigious northeastern quarter of the walled city, just a stone's throw from Jodhpur's famous clock tower.

There are two restaurants, Darikhana, a covered dining room with a terrace offering views of the fort, and Baradari, an alfresco café by the pool, both serving Indian and continental cuisine. Guests celebrating a special occasion can also arrange a private dining experience in the landscaped garden or by the pool, featuring a menu tailored to their tastes.
